Industry good organisation DairyNZ will raise its levy for the first time in 16 years.Having been held at 3.6c per kilogram of milksolids since 2009 it will move to 4.5c from the start of the new dairy season on June 1.It will be held at that rate for a minimum of three years and the move comes after a consultation round with farmers with more than 1500 formal feedback submissions.Under the levy Commodity Levies (Milksolids) Order, which is subject to a vote every six years - the last being 2020 - every NZ dairy farmer pays the levy o...
